Adam Goucher blazed his way into the running scene and never slowed down. In high school, Adam won the National High School Cross Country Championship. While attending college in Colorado, Adam went on to win four NCAA championships and continued to be a fierce competitor following his collegiate career; running the fastest time for an American in the mile in 1999 (3:54.17), placing sixth in the Cross Country Worlds in 2006, and taking home eight U.S. Championships. His career was also marked by long periods of injury and frustration. His goal at the Elite Camp was to steer the campers towards the methods that have brought him success, and help them avoid the pitfalls he experienced throughout his career.
